MHT CET & CET Percentile Calculator
Estimate CET Percentile rank based on raw marks out of 200 for PCM and PCB groups.
How this is calculated
MHT CET percentiles are normalised across examination shifts, so identical raw scores in different sessions can map to different percentiles. This estimate interpolates published score-to-percentile data rather than applying fixed bands.
MHT CET & CET Percentile Calculator: how it works
MHT CET reports percentiles rather than raw scores, normalised across examination shifts so candidates who sat different papers can be compared.
What a percentile means
A percentile of 98 means you scored higher than 98 percent of candidates. It is not a percentage of marks, and the two are frequently confused. A raw score of 150 out of 200 might correspond to a percentile of about 97.8, depending on how everyone else performed.
Percentile = (Candidates with lower score ÷ Total candidates) × 100
Why shift normalisation exists
MHT CET is conducted across multiple shifts on different days with different question papers. Because no two papers are exactly equal in difficulty, raw scores are not directly comparable. Percentiles are computed within each shift and then equated, so a candidate who faced a harder paper is not penalised.
What the percentile is used for
- CAP counselling for engineering and pharmacy admission in Maharashtra allots seats on percentile-derived merit.
- Category-wise merit lists are prepared separately, so the effective cut-off differs by category.
- Institute and branch preferences submitted during counselling determine where you actually land.
